A different kind of medicine, that connects all the pieces
You’re not broken.
You’ve been let down by a system that separates symptoms and overlooks the connection between your diet, medications, trauma, hormones, and mental health.
My approach brings those pieces together, so your care finally feels safe, judgment-free, and empowering.
-
While many naturopathic doctors avoid these conversations, my advanced training in integrative psychiatry allows me to incorporate them into your care.
I focus on using the lowest effective dose, always alongside trauma-informed and integrative strategies. This approach builds your capacity to tolerate distress and creates space for deeper healing.
-
My philosophy is rooted in trauma-informed care for everyone, whether you identify as a trauma survivor or not. I prioritize your sense of safety, building resilience, and learning to listen to what your nervous system is telling you, without ever forcing anything.
-
Most NDs address physical and mental health separately; I combine them, recognizing the deep connection between your hormones, inflammation levels, and digestion function and your nervous system.
My approach blends science and holistic understanding to build a plan that's safe, truly for you, and something you can actually stick with. It always works in conjunction your medications and therapy, not against.
-
From confidential medical abortion care, to HAES-friendly weight discussions, to safe, evidence-informed guidance for psychedelic journeys, I offer a space where you can explore sensitive health topics with respect and compassion, using the latest research and trauma-informed practices.

Meet Dr. Jessica Eastman, ND
So many of us have left appointments feeling unheard, disempowered, and smaller than when we arrived. Sometimes we leave even more confused because every provider seems to be telling us something different.
I believe care should feel the opposite: connected, compassionate, and clear.
That’s why my work combines multiple roles. I’m a trauma-informed Naturopathic Doctor, a Trauma Recovery Coach, and a fellow-in-training with the Psychiatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians. My approach blends medical training and naturopathic principles with gentle, evidence-informed practices for mental health and trauma recovery.
What you’ll find here is different from most naturopathic care: medication support, specialized trauma recovery coaching, and truly integrated mental healthcare, all in one place.

What people often tell me in our first conversation
Most people come to me after months (or years) of piecing things together on their own. Here are some examples of how we take those pieces, stitch them together, and finally learn what your body is truly telling you.
What people often tell me in our first conversation
-
“I need support for a medical abortion, but I’m afraid of being judged.”
I provide confidential, virtual care up to 11 weeks, along with trauma-informed follow-up. You get dignity, respect, and support without having to fight for it.
-
"I’ve tried three antidepressants and still feel like a zombie."
We review your history, check labs if needed, and decide together whether to stay on, adjust, or gently taper so your meds help you feel like your true self again.
-
"I'm curious about psychedelic therapy, but I don't know if it's right for me."
We’ll sit down together and talk through how to prepare mentally and emotionally, what to expect, and how to make sense of your experience afterwards.
-
"I'm constantly on edge, even though nothing 'bad' is currently happening."
Your nervous system might be holding onto old stress or trauma, even if you don’t call it trauma. We’ll gently explore what your body's telling us, helping you build strength without having to re-live tough memories and move past survival mode.
Why this time will feel different
What you won’t find here
Rushed visits that barely scratch the surface
Judgment about your choices or your past
Restrictive diets or endless supplement lists
Cold, patronizing lectures that leave you feeling smaller
What you will find here
Time and space to share your story
Open, judgment-free conversations
Flexible plans that fit your life and feel sustainable
Collaboration with your other providers so you’re not piecing it together alone
Care that meets you where you are
In British Columbia
As a licensed ND, I provide comprehensive, trauma-informed primary care, from ordering labs, running exams, to prescribing medications.
We’ll blend Trauma Recovery Coaching with medical treatment into one plan, so your care is truly connected and supports your whole self.
Anywhere outside of British Columbia
While I can't provide medical treatment outside BC, my Trauma Recovery Coaching is available worldwide and offers nervous system regulation tools you can use right away. We focus on gently unpacking what’s keeping you stuck, without forcing anything, to build sustainable change.
Inclusive, anti-oppressive care
My practice is built on intersectional feminism, anti-oppression, and a deep commitment to justice, creating a safe, judgment-free space for everyone. I explicitly welcome and support LGBTQ2S+ individuals, BIPOC communities, sex workers, and all marginalized groups often overlooked in traditional medical settings.
Offering in-person and virtual support
My office is conveniently located in downtown Vancouver.
Can’t make it into the office? I’ve got you covered with telemedicine.
What if this time felt different?
You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need care that truly sees you. That’s where I come in.
Openings as early as next week. It costs nothing to start the conversation.
