Welcome to a new era of medicine.

I am a trauma-informed Naturopathic Doctor and Trauma Recovery Coach.

The mind and body are intricately and intimately linked, and we cannot heal one without the other.

Medicine that focuses on identifying problems in the body or the mind exclusively is limited, out-dated, and not your best chance at feeling the way you want to feel.

I believe that taking care of humans means meeting them where they’re at, which is why I believe so strongly in trauma-informed care. This doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to “have” trauma, or that we have to work on it; it just means that I show up with compassion for the ways in which we are all struggling and with consideration for the challenging aspects of life. And sometimes it means we have to work on supporting your nervous system before we can work on your digestion/depression/acne/fitness goals.

I believe my role is to empower you with the tools and strength to be able to learn, heal, and grow and I LOVE my job.

Healthcare, transformed.

Naturopathic medicine combines scientific medical training with holistic patient care principles that focus on finding the root cause of illness whenever possible, removing the obstacles to healing, and treating holistically with the most gentle, least invasive and individualized approaches possible.

My practice is built upon my medical training, the naturopathic principles and my years of experience , and is blended with the most up-to-date, gentle and supportive therapy, counselling and trauma-informed and integrative practices for supporting mental health.

Sustainable health is only possible through integrative medicine and a supportive community where naturopathic doctors, conventional medical doctors, allied healthcare professionals and patients work together.

We work together to ensure that both your body and your mind are set up for you to feel your best.

Medicine for people who don’t like doctors.

What there won’t be: forcing, judging, shaming, dismissing, patronizing, lectures, super restrictive diets, removal of all your favourite foods, drinks or behaviours.

What there will be: options, open discussion, education, patience, empathy, opportunity to ask questions, support for where you’re at, collaboration with your other practitioners, treatment plans flexible enough that you can actually follow them.

My work is fuelled by intersectional feminism, and a strong commitment to anti-oppression, compassion, and justice.

I am a loud supporter of LGBTQ2S+ health and rights, and work hard to be inclusive, supportive and uplifting of BIPOC individuals, sex-workers, and other oppressed minorities, and to inform myself on the ways in which they are oppressed.

I am body-positive, sex-positive and work hard to stay informed of my biases and privilege, and to create a safe, healing and learning space for any human in need.

I have my pharmaceutical prescribing license, as well as my acupuncture and immunization certifications.

I am currently in the midst of completing my Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) Level II certification.

I completed a 12-month Master’s Certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy from Vancouver Island University in 2023, and approach all discussions of substance-use from a non-judgmental, harm-reduction perspective.

I have an Honours Bachelor of Science Kinesiology (H.BSc.Kin) degree from McMaster University and work frequently with athletes.

I combine diagnostic assessment, including physical exams and laboratory tests to build comprehensive, evidence-based treatment plans. The clinical modalities I use are clinical nutrition, dietary recommendations, nutritional supplementation, botanical medicine, exercise prescription, mental/emotional counselling & lifestyle coaching (mindfulness, somatic therapy, family systems theory), and appropriate pharmaceuticals when necessary.
